How do I get AI meeting notes in Google Meet without a bot?

Short answer

Add the Acta Chrome extension and start recording from the Google Meet tab. It records the call from your browser, so no bot joins, and Acta writes a transcript with speaker names, a summary and the action items after the meeting.

How to do it with Acta

  1. 1

    Add Acta to Chrome

Install the Acta extension from the Chrome Web Store and log in.

  2. 2

    Open your Google Meet call

Join the meeting in Chrome as usual.

  3. 3

    Start recording

Click the Acta extension to start recording from the meeting tab.

  4. 4

    Open your notes

When the call ends, the transcript, summary and action items are in your Acta account.

What you get

  • One click from the Meet tab
  • Also records Zoom and Teams in the browser
  • Ask questions about the meeting afterwards
  • Follow-up email draft opened straight in Gmail
